Get started
On a fresh build, Iro has no apps. You install your first one from the official catalog in under five minutes.
1. Open Iro
Build and run locally (until signed releases exist):
pnpm install
pnpm --filter @iro-labs/desktop build
Open Iro. With an empty profile you get onboarding, not a dashboard.
2. Install the Store
Onboarding reads the official catalog, installs the Store through the consent sheet, and opens it. Skippable: an empty Iro with Install package… still works. Offline on first run, Iro says it needs a connection.
3. Install a first app
The Store's first-run view puts starter apps up front. Pick one — e.g. Markdown Notes — and approve its sheet. Each app is one sheet; Iro never installs anything by itself.
4. Connect an account
Accounts live on the app's page, never inside the app. For Markdown Notes, pick a folder. For GitHub, sign in through Iro's prompt window. For a model app, paste the API key into the app's page in Iro (keys go straight to the vault).
5. Add a second app
Try Daily Briefing alone and it gets NotBound for tasks@1 — the sheet names the missing provider (GitHub) and the Store offers it as its own install, each with its own sheet.
